Neglected Widows Thankful for Church’s Concern

Believers Church Hyderabad Diocese observed International Widows Day on 23rd June 2013. Fourteen widows attended the church’s program. Rev. Fr. Thomas encouraged them from a Bible passage (1 Kings 17) about how God provided for a widow.
The church then presented saris to each of the widows, expressing love and concern.

“I was never given a sari any time, even by my children,” said a widow named Manimma, who has been routinely neglected by her family and village. “I am thankful to Believers Church.”

Believers Church uplifts widows around the year, but took special initiative on International Widows Day to show suffering women their value.
