Nagpur Women Take Initiative to Raise AIDS Awareness
December 1, 2010On 1st December 2010, a Women’s Fellowship team in Nagpur Diocese conducted an AIDS Awareness rally .
Around 60 women from Women’s Fellowship, Minor Seminary and Believers Church staff participated in the rally.
They raised HIV/AIDS awareness by giving out literature to bystanders and calling out slogans. Residents of Manewada town, Nagpur and nearby villages heard “Prevention is the only cure” and “Health is wealth” in both Hindi and Marathi.
Similar programs happened all over South Asia as Believers Church worked to educate communities about precautionary measures against the deadly dangers of AIDS.
