Mother’s Day: Women’s Fellowship Teams Hold Special Programs to Honor Mothers

In celebration of Mother’s Day, Women’s Fellowship teams in Believers Eastern Church Archdiocese of Delhi organized special programs at 6 different places on 8 May 2022. Special gifts were distributed to mothers as a show of appreciation for all the work they do.

The Diocesan Women’s Fellowship team held a program to appreciate the mothers of the St. John local church which is located inside the diocesan campus. Besides, a few women who work in St. Johannes School as helpers were also invited to the program.

The program started with prayer, followed by a short speech on Mother’s Day. At the end, small gifts were distributed to the 16 mothers who were present there to make them feel special and honored. The St. Johannes School Coordinator and the school director were also present at the event.

Niru who works as a helper in St. Johannes School said, “I am grateful to the church for the invitation. We never knew about Mother’s Day and why it was celebrated. But today I learned about this day in this program. I am also thankful for this gift.”

Likewise, to honor and to express gratitude to mothers, the local church Women’s Fellowship leaders of different churches organized special programs.

Some local churches had sessions where an encouraging speech on Mother’s Day was given by the church priest and gifts were distributed. In some churches, the day was celebrated with cake cutting and special lunch for mothers.
