Mother’s Day Meal Encourages the Poor

To celebrate Mother’s Day, Believers Church Gorakhpur Diocese distributed free food packets to the needy on 12th May 2013. A team representing Women’s Fellowship and Sisters of Compassion went to two impoverished areas. The first was near a railway station. Many poor children and parents in this place were longing for a good meal.

In the next area, there were many beggars. The team found that a lot of the people on the street were discouraged about their lives. But the free meal heartened them. They expressed their thanks to the team.

Altogether, 70 people received food packets during the Mother’s Day event. This is just one example of how the women of Believers Church actively uplift their local communities.
