A Women’s Fellowship team in Believers Church Dhemaji Diocese observed World Food Day on the 16th of October.
More than one hundred people from five villages were given food on this day. They were from poor and needy families. Those who had gathered received rice, dal and meat.
One of the participants Ronki said, “I am pleased that I was invited on this day. We do not get healthy food daily as my parents survive from hand to mouth. I am happy to eat special food.”
Maina said, “I like the food. It was tasty and I ate more.”
Toger said, “My parents are farmers and they are busy and we eat what we get. Today I liked eating food along with my friends. The food was tasty and special.”
Believers Church recognized World Food Day in many locations, taking the opportunity to feed impoverished communities.
