Dear Archbishops, Bishops, Diocesan Vicars and Leaders of the holy church.
In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, One True God, Amen✠
I am writing to share with you an important update regarding the creation of Synodal Departments within our church, as mandated by our church’s constitution.
The same has been communicated to you via Zoom on multiple occasions in the recent past and the details of the Departments, it’s specific areas of function or tasks assigned, and the responsible individuals – the President Bishop, Secretary, and Members of the Board-are all in the document attached.
Overall, the creation Departments allows for a structured, organized, and systematic approach to managing the diverse and complex functions of our church and it’s entities.
These Departments are expected to meet regularly, to evaluate the tasks under their purview, and are empowered to suggest actions to enhance their functions, and provide studied recommendations for improvement. The Presidents of these Departments will then present these to His Holiness the Metropolitan for final approval and blessings.
The Department and it’s members are appointed for a term of one year from today, and members can be added or removed as per the discretion of the Metropolitan, in discussion with the Presidents of the respective boards.
This process will hopefully ensure the activities of each Department are aligned with the broader vision of our church and receive the necessary guidance from our highest ecclesiastical authority. Please remember that these Departments are facilitating bodies, and that each Diocese, while remaining the custodian and owner of the church and its entities, is also expected to work as directed by the policies created by the Synodal Departments and duly ratified by the Holy Synod, the ultimate governance body.
I am confident that this new organisational structure will significantly enhance our ability to serve our congregations and communities more effectively. I look forward to your active participation and support in this endeavour.
Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or need further clarification.
May the Holy Spirit inspire and strengthen us in all our endeavours, bringing glory to HIS glorious name for peace and building up HIS holy church.
Your Father in Christ,
✠ Moran Mor Samuel Theophilus Metropolitan
