Moran Mor Athanasius Yohan I Metropolitan Inaugurates ‘Hope for Children’ Leadership Training Seminar
September 17, 2019Moran Mor Athanasius Yohan I Metropolitan inaugurated the Leadership Training Seminar of ‘Hope for Children’ (Bridge of Hope) at the Synod Secretariat on 16 September 2019.
More than 170 delegates from across the dioceses of Believers Eastern Church are taking part in the event.
While delivering the inaugural address Moran Mor Athanasius Yohan I Metropolitan said, “Life is fragile. Deny yourself and do good for others’.
“Don’t ignore the little children you see roaming the streets of India, just because we are not one of them. They will be one of those who will be leading our country in the future”. Underlining the importance of educating such children, he said, “The members of the church should take care to cut down on expenses and use that money to educate at least one child in need”.
Hope for Children is a childcare project of the church which helps tens of thousands of needy children have access to free education, school supplies and healthcare.
