The students of a Minor Seminary in Believers Church Chandigarh Diocese were involved in a joint venture with the local government hospital. They administered polio vaccines from the 15th to the 17th of September.
Earlier doctors from the hospital taught the students about polio, its eradication and the method of administration.
Twelve students went door to door and administered polio drops to those children who were not brought to the booths. They also went to slums and administered polio drops to the street children who were playing there. More than 500 children were given vaccines and 2500 houses were visited.
Believers Church provides health awareness and preventative treatment to communities through programs such as this.
