Minister of Environment Attends Inauguration of Six Wells
August 17, 2013Believers Church Kolkata Diocese inaugurated six new wells on the 17th of August.
All six of the wells were installed in slums. Bishop Dr. Juria Bardhan, Dr. Surdarshan Ghosh Dasitar (Minister of Environment and Public Works Department) and Shri Partho Mitra (Municipality Councilor) were invited as the chief guests.
The Environment Minister lauded the efforts and contribution of Believers Church for all the welfare activities in providing clean drinking water, BioSand filters and educating nearly 5,000 children in West Bengal. He also appreciated Kolkata Diocese for maintaining ecological balance and for being environmentally friendly.
Believers Church has installed thousands of wells in needy places like this throughout South Asia.
