H.H. Moran Mor Dr. Samuel Theophilus Metropolitan inaugurated the Lamp Lighting Ceremony of the 13th batch of Believers College of Nursing today. In his inaugural address, His Holiness encouraged the students to be a light to others and an icon of compassion in their noble profession.
Rev. Fr. Sijo Pandappallil, Manager of BCMH and spokesperson of Believers Eastern Church, delivered the presidential address, while the director’s address was given by Prof. Dr. George Chandy Matteethra, Director & CEO of BCMCH. Prof. Sherine Peter, Principal of BCON, along with other dignitaries, graced the occasion.

H.H. Moran Mor Dr. Samuel Theophilus Metropolitan inaugurated the closing ceremony of the Kerala Council of Churches (KCC) Annual Assembly, held in Konni on February 5, 2025.
H.G. Alexios Mar Eusebius Metropolitan, Bishop Rt. Rev. Dr. Ostine M.A. Paul, Dr. Prakashi P. Thomas, General Secretary of KCC, and other dignitaries also spoke on the occasion.

On Friday, the principals and managers of Believers Eastern Church schools, along with the members of the Department of Education under the Trivandrum Diocese, visited His Holiness Moran Mor Samuel Theophilus at the Synod Secretariat in the global church headquarters. The delegation, led by Department Secretary Mr. Jacob Pothen, congratulated His Holiness on his recent election as the Metropolitan of the Church. They also sought his blessings for themselves and their schools as they embark on the new academic year.

The Bible Society of India Kerala Auxiliary Secretary and his team visited His Holiness Moran Mor Samuel Theophilus Metropolitan at the church’s global headquarters to congratulate him on his enthronement as the Metropolitan of the Believers Eastern Church. H.G. Mathews Mor Silvanus Episcopa, Bishop of the Trivandrum diocese, was also present.

Athanasius Yohan I Metropolitan met with His Excellency Shri. Vinay Kumar Saxena, the Honorable Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, at the Emergency Department Excellency Award ceremony held at Believers Church Medical College Hospital. In his address as the chief guest, Shri. Vinay Kumar Saxena commended the hospital for achieving the prestigious Emergency Excellence Certification by the NABH. Athanasius Yohan I Metropolitan was the Guest of Honor at the event. Following the ceremony, the Metropolitan hosted the Governor at the Synod secretariat.

Athanasius Yohan I Metropolitan, alongside Smt. Meenakshi Lekhi, Union Minister of State for External Affairs & Culture, officially inaugurated the 'Kanivum Karuthalum' mental health care project. The initiative, a collaboration between Believers Church Medical College Hospital and YMCA Tiruvalla Sub-Region, aims to address the pressing issue of psychological stress, which has become a leading cause of suicide among young people.

Joshua Mor Barnabas Episcopa, H.G. Theodore Mor Origen Episcopa, and H.G. Emmanuel Mor Julien Episcopa concelebrated the liturgy.

Athanasius Yohan I Metropolitan delivered the graduation address and conferred degrees at the 30th graduation ceremony of St. Ignatius Theological Seminary. In his keynote speech, he urged the graduates to embark on their respective journeys equipped with the light of knowledge and the ethos of service, inspiring them to carry forward the teachings of faith and the values instilled during their time at the seminary.

Their joint efforts aim to bring early detection and treatment to those fighting cancer. Actor Jayasuriya, the face of Kerala Can, inaugurated the camp, and other distinguished personalities were also present on the occasion.
