Metropolitan Dr. K.P. Yohannan Officiates Onam Kit Distribution Program in Diocese of Niranam

The state level inauguration of “Ponnonam Nallonam,” an onam kit distribution program organized by Believers Church Diocese of Niranam was held on 5th September 2014. Metropolitan Dr. K.P. Yohannan was the chief guest of the program that day.

Rt. Rev. Dr. Zacharias Mar Theophilus, Suffragan Metropolitan of Marthoma Syrian Church inaugurated the function and Metropolitan Dr. K.P. Yohannan delivered the presidential address. Smt. Delsi Sam (Municipal Chairperson) and Rev. Fr. Dr. Reji Mathew (General Secretary, Kerala Council of Churches) were also the distinguished guests in this program.

Through this program, the church is planning to distribute 1000 Onam Kits containing 10 kg rice, sugar, payasam kit, dal and banana chips to AIDS patients, widows and poverty-stricken families.

Believers Church shows compassion and care towards the downtrodden and needy in our society by organizing programs like this to bring hope and happiness in their lives.
