On World Mental Health Day, Believers Church Udaipur Diocese took initiative to visit an ashram for the mentally retarded on the 10th of October.
There are about 200 mentally retarded people living in the ashram who are taken care of by nuns. They also take care of elderly people who are rejected from society.
A Women’s Fellowship team from Udaipur Diocese spent time with the patients by praying and encouraging them. They sang songs to which the patients clapped their hands. Snacks such as bread rolls and cookies were distributed to all the patients.
Believers Church spreads a message of hope and peace by visiting and encouraging the community on special occasions.
