Lucknow Diocese Promotes Safety Measures on World AIDS Day
December 1, 2012Believers Church Lucknow Diocese observed World AIDS Day on 1st December 2012. Diocese staff, Bridge of Hope staff, students and Women’s Fellowship members took part in a rally from the diocese office to Mohanlalganj bus stop.
Dr. R.K. Sharma (Director of SGPGI Hospital Lucknow) also joined the procession. The participants held placards with slogans about AIDS.
Later, Dr. Sharma spoke to the gathering about safety measures necessary to fight the disease. He said, “The church has taken up a noble call to reach out to the common man and bring awareness in the villages. We are ready to help you to any extent for this noble cause.”
Believers Church recognizes the danger of AIDS and seeks to curb the spread of the disease through educational materials and awareness events.
