Lucknow Diocese Honours India through Flag-Hoisting and Social Work

Believers Church Lucknow Diocese celebrated Republic Day on 26th January 2011 with a program to honor the nation. Minor Seminary students, office staff and other local people gathered at 8 a.m. to see Rev. Fr. Reji hoist the national flag.

Rev. Fr. Reji addressed the crowd, speaking of how Republic Day is a reminder to respect authority and follow rules and regulations to become good citizens of the nation. He prayed that God would grant peace and happiness to all the people of India.

After the flag hoisting, the staff and students took initiative to bless their community through social work. The team focused on cleaning a local dental hospital. The people of Lucknow appreciated Believers Church for cleaning this public area which had been dirty for a long time.
