Lucknow Diocese Conducts Awareness Rally on World AIDS Day

Bridge of Hope in Lucknow Diocese held an awareness rally on World AIDS Day, 1st December. Minor Seminary students, Bridge of Hope children and diocesan staff took part in the rally. All of them wore red ribbons and carried placards with them.

The Sub-Divisional Magistrate of the city was the chief guest of the meeting and in his speech he said that, “AIDS is such an evil that it has no cure, so stay away from it because prevention is better than cure.”

Rev. Fr. Abhishek talked about the spread of the illness and its prevention. The awareness program received a huge response. The events of the day reached more than 2,000 people and educated them about AIDS.

Spreading awareness is the only way to prevent AIDS. Each year, Believers Church conducts HIV/AIDS awareness programs throughout its 33 dioceses.
