A Local Parish in Nepal Distributes Dry Rations to Pandemic-hit Families

In an effort to help families that have lost their jobs and have been adversely affected by the second wave of Covid-19 pandemic, a local parish in Believers Eastern Church Diocese of Birtamod carried out a dry ration distribution in Bhojpur District on 9 July 2021.

A total of 13 households were helped by this distribution. Each household received a kit containing 30 kg rice, 1 kg salt, and 1 liter oil. The beneficiaries were daily wage laborers, differently-abled people and elderly persons.

One of the recipients by name Ram Prasad said, “I am a physically-challenged person and I was finding it difficult to survive during this pandemic. Thank you for providing me the needed food items.”

“I have no wife and children. I am glad to receive this assistance during this pandemic. Thank you for your love and concern towards me”, said Jitpal Rai.
