A local parish in Believers Eastern Church Diocese of Kathmandu in Nepal organized a sanitation program on 19 September 2021, in observance of the Nepali Constitution Day.
The main objective of conducting this program was to create awareness about the importance of hygiene and sanitation among local people. Altogether 20 parish members, mainly the members of local youth fellowship and men’s fellowship of the church, took part in the clean-up program.
The sanitation program was started in the morning at 6:30 am with a word of prayer and it went until 9 am. All the participants actively involved in cleaning, sweeping and collecting the garbage in trash bags.
By seeing the activity of the participants, many local people expressed their heartfelt thanks and appreciated each member of the church for the noble initiative.
Narbada Rai, a local inhabitant said, “I thank all of you for coming here and cleaning our surroundings. You have really done an exemplary work.”
