Believers Church Mumbai Diocese organized a literacy awareness program on World Literacy Day on the 8th of September.
A Women’s Fellowship team, Sisters of Compassion and Bridge of Hope staff were all involved in the event. The audience consisted of 48 sisters including parents of Bridge of Hope children.
Bridge of Hope students along with the sisters and staff performed a skit based on the importance of literacy. Following this Sis. Kavita spoke about the importance of education. Then there was a special song.
All the participants keenly observed the event and felt the need for education. As a result of this program, many shared the desire to read and write. This has lead to a decision of starting a literacy class in this place.
Believers Church emphasizes the need for education by utilizing special occasions such as this.
