Believers Church Diocese of Gujarat distributed ration supplies to 22 leprosy-affected individuals on 30th January 2015, World Leprosy Day.
The distribution was held in a colony where these people lived. They are unable to go for any work because of their disease. So, a team of Women’s Fellowship members and Sisters of Compassion went and distributed these kits to help them have food to eat.
“Me and my husband are affected with leprosy and because of this, our family members also refuses to come near to us,” said one lady. “But you have showed us care and compassion, cleaned our wounds and helped us with these items. Thank you so much.”
Believers Church organized similar programs throughout all its dioceses on this day to reach out to lepers with compassion.
