Leprosy Patients in Gujarat Receive Soap on World Leprosy Day
January 25, 2014On 25th January 2014, Believers Church Gujarat Diocese distributed soap to leprosy patients in honor of World Leprosy Day. The program was organized by a Women’s Fellowship team in a place where four Sisters of Compassion regularly serve. Chunile (Women’s Fellowship Department) spoke to the patients about their worth in the sight of God.
“We were chased out from the society,” said some lepers, “no one touching us and we are utterly helpless in regard to every aspect of our lives. But we are tremendously happy that through Believers Church we are touched by the sisters.”
Believers Church regularly cares for thousands of leprosy patients through Sisters of Compassion.
