Kolkata Diocese Inaugurates New Bridge of Hope Center

On 8th March 2014, Founder’s Day, Believers Church Kolkata Diocese inaugurated a new bridge of Hope center. This is the 30th Bridge of Hope center in the diocese, for the holistic development of underprivileged children of all communities.

On the inaugural day, 100 children from extremely poor families were enrolled. All the children received school bag, notebook, toothbrush, toothpaste, bathing soap, oil, washing soap and other gift items at the time of enrollment.

Bishop Dr. Juria Bardhan inaugurated the center by cutting the ribbon and setting a dove free. In his address he encouraged children to rise up to the highest dimension of life and challenged the children to be a future icon of our nation.

Mr. Bivash Mukherjee (the All Council Chairman) addressed the inauguration program and said, “An ideal project in an ideal day for the ideal children to an ideal village for making an ideal nation. Few words of mere appreciation are not enough; we humbly bow down to the church leadership for taking an initiative for these underprivileged children.”

Believers Church through its Bridge of Hope centers is able to bring hope to thousands of children providing them with nutritious food, education and regular medical checkups.
