Kolkata Diocese Christmas Celebration Benefits 200 Poor Widows
December 17, 2013Believers Church Kolkata Diocese distributed blankets to 200 widows during a Christmas celebration on 17th December 2013. Bishop Dr. Juria Bardhan shared with the participants about Christmas and God’s love. Mrs. Basanti Maiti and Mr. Biswajit Ghosh (local officials) also spoke to the crowd, expressing appreciation for Believers Church’s social work.
The widows were very happy to receive blankets from the special guests and Sisters of Compassion who distributed them. After the program, the diocese provided a special Christmas lunch for the 400 people who attended.
This is just one example of how Believers Church builds communities and uplifts the downtrodden.
