Kathmandu Diocese Ordains 49 New Deacons

Believers Eastern Church Diocese of Kathmandu ordained forty nine candidates to the sacred order of the diaconate on 15 June 2022.

H.G. Titus Mor Osthathiose Episcopa ordained the candidates to the diaconate. The ordination ceremony commenced with a solemn procession followed by the presentation of the ordinands to the Episcopa who ordained the men through the imposition of hands and the invocation of the Holy Spirit.

After that, each of the newly-ordained deacons was presented with the Holy Bible as the sign of their authority to proclaim God’s Word and to assist in the administration of holy Sacraments.

Ordained deacon Nabin Rai said, “I thank the Lord and my church for counting me worthy for ordination. I will always be faithful to God and to my church”.
