Believers Church Jorhat Diocese inaugurated bore wells in different places on 25th April 2014. Altogether 15 bore wells were installed, giving more than 1,000 people access to clean water.
The bore wells were installed in places that faced acute water scarcity; most of the time the villagers had to walk kilometers to get water or depend on open sources. This unhygienic water was the main reason for diseases like diarrhea and cholera. To prevent these diseases and to improve the health of the people Believers Church decided to install bore wells.
Pure drinking water can significantly improve the health of communities. Through its clean water project the church provides pure drinking water to thousands of people each year.
