Jorhat Diocese Observes World No Tobacco Day

Believers Church Jorhat Diocese held an awareness rally on World No Tobacco day, 31st May 2014. Around 100 people attended the rally and more than 1,200 pamphlets called “Say No to Tobacco” were distributed among people.

Bishop B. Sunderraj inaugurated the rally with a prayer. The purpose of the rally was to spread awareness among people about the consequences of tobacco.

Bro. Kishan a shop keeper said, “This is the first time I read a booklet about tobacco. I will try not to sell tobacco in my shop.”

Spreading awareness is the best way to save people from tobacco’s dangerous effects. Believers Church conducted programs on World No Tobacco Day throughout its 33 dioceses.
