A team of Women’s Fellowship members and Sisters of Compassion from Believers Church Jasidih Diocese held a health awareness program in a leprosy colony on World Health Day, 7th April. Three Sisters of Compassion are regularly caring for the people here.
Eighty women gathered and learned about the importance of caring for their own health and that of their families. They also received multivitamins. The program was very eye-opening for the community members.
“I was very careless to take care of my health,” said 35-year-old Gauri, “which caused me to fall sick always. Now I will be aware of my health.”
This was just one of many programs held on World Health Day throughout Believers Church’s dioceses.
