Jasidih Diocese Minor Seminary Celebrates Indian Culture on Republic Day

Jasidih Diocese organized a unique Republic Day celebration in January 2011. In previous years, the Minor Seminary had a sports day to celebrate the holiday. But this year, the Minor Seminary leaders declared it a cultural day to celebrate the beautifully diverse culture of India.

Local Member of Parliament, Mr. Suresh Paswas (Deoghar), gladly accepted the invitation as special guest to hoist the flag.

The celebration included both a cultural program and a game competition. The students and staff were divided into four groups and each was eager score high. One of the highlights of the day was the excellent performance of songs in different languages and various cultural dances by each team.
