Jasidih Diocese Distributes Vitamin Tablets in Slums

On 5th February 2014, members of Believers Church Jasidih Diocese visited a slum and provided vitamin tablets. Overall, 25 women benefited from this distribution. Vitamin A nutritional supplements were distributed, providing them with the basic nutrients to maintain their eyesight and to fight other preventable illnesses.

Rev. Fr. Sivi who talk to the people, and told them to take care of their health. In his speech he said, “Health is wealth. If anyone is healthy, he can work and earn money.” In the program, Sister Betty talked to the women and taught them the importance of vitamins in daily life.

Pappu, who is from this slum, said, “Until now, no one has come with this concern for caring for us, and caring for our family.” Madhu said “This short meeting taught me a lot, to take of myself and my family.”

Along with providing care to the most needy, this program raised health awareness in the community as a whole.
