On 7th April 2014, World Health Day, Believers Church Jasidih Diocese held health and hygiene awareness programs in different places. The programs took place in two different slums and more than 250 people attended the programs.
Rev. Fr. Sivi talked to the people and emphasized about the importance of hygiene in daily life. He showed them how to wash hands properly and Sisters of Compassion helped distribute more than 50 bathing soaps among them. He told them that without hygiene we can’t have good health.
Miss Naina, a girl from the slum accidentally got burnt on the previous day, but her parents did not take her to the hospital because they were afraid of a police case. After hearing this news, the diocesan staff visited her and talked to her parents about the importance of proper medical care. They admitted her in the hospital and now she is getting better under the treatment.
This is one of the many ways Believers Church shows its concern to impoverished and poor people in the society.
