Inter-Church Cricket Tournament Held in the Diocese of Birtamod

On 25th June 2014, the Diocese of Birtamod held an inter-church cricket tournament for youths. More than 48 youths from different churches of the diocese took part in the tournament along with other people from the community.

Mr. Biru Shreshta (secretary of local cricket association) was the chief guest of the program. In his inaugural speech he said, “I appreciate the leaders and youths of the church. Thanks a lot for inviting me on this occasion. I hope that the church will organize more of this kind of matches in the coming days.”

The winners of the match received cash prizes and certificates. Bro. Sunny said “I am very happy to take part in this match. I met many friends from different places. We enjoyed a lot, thanks a lot for this opportunity.”

This is one among the many programs which the church conducts for the holistic development of youth.
