Installation of the Mother Superior of the Order of Sisters of Compassion
January 5, 2020In a liturgical ceremony, rich in meaning and tradition, Believers Eastern Church installed the Mother Superior of the order of Sisters of Compassion at St. Thomas Believers Eastern Church Cathedral in Thiruvalla on 5 January 2020.
Moran Mor Athanasius Yohan I Metropolitan presided over the installation, which was done in accordance with the resolution and decision of the Holy Synod of Believers Eastern Church.
Archbishops of the church, priests, deacon fathers and lay faithful witnessed the sacred installation ceremony.
Since its inception in the year 2010, more than 1,000 sisters have become part of the Order of Sisters of Compassion, where they serve and show compassion to orphans, beggars, widows, those with leprosy, and others on the fringes of society.
