Believers Church Delhi Diocese distributed sewing machines, rickshaws, bicycles and thelas freely to underprivileged community members in Gurgaon on 5th November 2012. This distribution was part of Delhi Diocese’s Community Development Project.
More than 250 people from various parts of Delhi and Gurgaon gathered for the program. ACP (Assistant Commissioner Of Police) Sangeeta Dalal took part in the program as a distinguished guest.
In the opening speech, Rev. Fr. Daniel said, “As a church we are very much concerned for India.” He then spoke about how Believers Church is eradicating poverty.
Church leaders distributed specific gifts to 175 families according to their ability to earn a living with them. These gifts offered the beneficiaries an opportunity to be productive citizens.
Believers Church develops hundreds of needy communities through giving free income-generating items, drilling bore wells and educating the underprivileged.
