Income-Generating Gifts Offer Hope to Poor Community

Believers Church Bilaspur Diocese through its Community Development Project gave free poverty-alleviating items to Raipur residents on 29th November 2012. Mr. B.P. Singh (District Judge, Raipur) distributed the gifts. When given a chance to share his thoughts, the judge appreciated Believers Church’s social work.

Sewing machines, cycle rickshaws, pulling carts and tricycles were among the gifts. One couple, Gariba and Kaushaliya, received a Dona machine, which makes disposable paper plates. It was difficult for their family to survive with their limited daily wages. The gift they received will allow them to start a new business. “Thank you very much for the help,” said Kaushaliya, now hopeful for the future.

This couple represents people in hundreds of communities that are uplifted by Believers Church development initiatives.
