A Karnataka slum community received free food from the local Believers Church Minor Seminary on 8th March 2013. Students and staff prepared and distributed 200 meals.
Most of the slum dwellers collect garbage, beg or do low-income labor for a living. This usually provides only one meal a day. Makeshift tents or tarps are all the shelter they have. There is no electricity, running water, toilets or phones.
Lacking so much, the people appreciated Believers Church Bengaluru Diocese for coming to visit, love and care for them.
This food distribution is just one example of how the church uplifts needy communities.
