Relief efforts of Believers Eastern Church continues in full swing.
On 22 August 2018, Dr K.P. Yohannan Metroplitan visited a relief camp where he helped distribute basic necessities, including cleaning items to 100 families.
More and more Believers Eastern Church’s parishes in Kerala are coming forward to extent their help towards the flood victims.
On 22nd August 2018, Believers Eastern Church Kozhanchery Tamil Parish’s vicar and team visited three flood relief camps and provided rice, clothes and essential items to around 300 families displaced by floods.
On 23rd August 2018, vicar and team from Believers Eastern Church Thottabagam parish visited relief camps in the nearby area and provided basic necessities including cleaning items and clothes to 50 families affected by the floods.
Receiving the relief items, a woman named Jagathamma said, “I have been wearing this same saree for the last four days. I am so happy that finally I can change my dress today”. When flood waters submerged her home, Jagathamma and her family had to flee their home with nothing, but clothes on their backs. Since then they have been staying in a relief camp.
On the same day, Believers Eastern Church Mallapally local parish vicar and believers distributed provision items to 55 flood affected families staying in a relief camp.
