Bridge of Hope (BOH) in Tinsukia Diocese was pleased to conduct medical camps in six project centers from 13th-19th August 2012. The centers provided free health checkups for children and also for needy community members. A total of 544 children and 497 others from the community attended the camps.
Checkups were only one benefit out of many. Hygiene supplies, Vitamin A and Albendazole tablets were distributed in each center. The camps provided Bridge of Hope staff members and local doctors an opportunity to speak to the parents of BOH students and other community members about the importance of health and hygiene.
Doctors and community members appreciated the work of Believers Church and requested the church to conduct another similar program in the near future. This kind of basic treatment and awareness is vital to the progress of towns and communities.
