Hill-Side Villagers Get Access to Clean Water Through BioSand Water Filters in Siliguri

Believers Church Diocese of Siliguri distributed 20 BioSand water filters in a remote village on 25th August, 2014. Central Reserve Police Force members also received a water filter that day.

The village is located in a hill and there are not many transportation facilities. There is a hand pipe installed there, and the villagers use this water to drink. The water was clean at first but later became contaminated with iron. So, the church distributed water filters to give these villagers access to clean water.

The team members demonstrated how the water filter removes iron from the water. The villagers were so happy and amazed by the effectiveness of these filters.

Believers Church provides access to clean and safe drinking water to needy communities by drilling bore wells and distributing BioSand water filters through its clean water project.
