A healthcare training seminar was organized in the northern area of Believers Church Udaipur Diocese from the 2nd to the 5th of April.
The women for the seminar came from various surrounding villages. Dr. Amit Maheta (MBBS Doctor) was the chief guest for inaugurating the training.
Dr. Amit Maheta, in his speech said “I am delighted to know that a healthcare training seminar is initiated by Believers Church, because it is very essential to the people of the villages to keep them away from different sort of diseases. It is possible to teach them about the importance of one’s health through women. I am sure, this training seminar is going to make a huge difference and the people of Rajasthan are going to be saved.”
Subsequently, Rev. Fr. P.S. Jose shared about the importance and the need of healthcare teaching to the remote villages of Rajasthan. He also encouraged the trainees of this Seminar to take heart in accomplishing the task of teaching every women of Rajasthan about the need of healthcare.
The trainees were keen and interested to learn from the healthcare manual and to teach others. There were group discussions and preparation for demonstration on the different topics. The trainees presented small skits on the basis of various topics which they learnt during the teaching. The demonstration proved their understanding of the topics.
Nearly 20 women were trained and were divided to form groups of two. Each group has started visiting villages and teaching women about ill effects of child marriage, problems during pregnancy and other areas of preventative healthcare.
