Gujarat Diocese Observes International Workers’ Day
May 1, 2014A team of Sisters of Compassion and Women’s Fellowship members observed International Workers’ Day among laborers on 1st May 2014. They distributed biscuits and juice to more than 50 workers.
A child laborer, Rameshbhai, said, “I have been a daily laborer since I was 6 year old. My parents forcefully took me here because I wanted to go to school. I was hopeless, so in order to fill my stomach I used to go for work. I was thinking that in this world no one wants me! But today Believers Church has shown love and concern for people like me.”
This event is just a small example of how Believers Church brings hope to the neglected and shows them their worth.
