A team of Sisters of Compassion and Women’s Fellowship members observed International Workers’ Day among laborers on 1st May 2014. They distributed biscuits and juice to more than 50 workers.
A child laborer, Rameshbhai, said, “I have been a daily laborer since I was 6 year old. My parents forcefully took me here because I wanted to go to school. I was hopeless, so in order to fill my stomach I used to go for work. I was thinking that in this world no one wants me! But today Believers Church has shown love and concern for people like me.”
This event is just a small example of how Believers Church brings hope to the neglected and shows them their worth.
