Believers Church Dhemaji Diocese observed Global Hand Washing Day on the 15th of October.
The day was observed in all its Bridge of Hope centers. In one of the centers, Sri. Sidanmanda Pegu (Principal of Junior College) was invited as the chief guest. He gave a speech on how washing hands prevents sickness. Also Mrs. Putoli Gogoi (Senior Nurse) was invited to demonstrate how to wash hands to both children and parents.
Minor Seminary students leaned the importance of hand washing when a video by Dr. Daniel Johnson was screened.
A Women’s Fellowship team also took initiative to teach people about the need to wash hands. They invited Rev. Fr. Gena as the chief guest. They also distributed multivitamin to pregnant women and albendazole and vitamin A to the children who had come to the program.
Believers Church awareness programs promote healthy habits like hand washing in communities that are downtrodden and poor.
