Giving Back to Society; Parish Youth Distributes Free Meals and Masks on International Youth Day

To do their bit for society, on 12 August 2021, on the occasion of International Youth Day, youth from across the parishes in Believers Eastern Church Diocese of Uttarakhand organized various social welfare programs.

Here is an account of the activities carried out by the parish youth teams on International Youth Day.

Similar programs were organized by the young people of other parishes in the diocese. Altogether, they could distribute over 200 masks to the needy and meals to around 220 people. All the youth were extremely glad that they could do something positive for society.

Nathu Singh, a villager, said, “Nowadays, youth are so addicted to smartphones and social media, but these church youth are totally different. They are cleaning the streets in order to help us. I am so thankful to the church priest who is teaching them to be socially responsible citizens”.
