Believers Church Odisha Diocese eased the poverty of needy community members through a gift distribution on 27th February 2013. Goats, cows, sheep, pigs, plumbing tools, mason tools, spray machines, a sewing machine and a Xerox machine were some of the items distributed.
Mr. Ravi Narayana Nanda, MLA (Mass Education Minister) specially attended the program. He appreciated Believers Church for being practical to the teaching of the Lord Jesus by deliberately choosing to love and care for poor and abandoned families.
Struggling individuals expressed their gratitude.
“I was longing to have a Xerox machine,” said a polio patient named Munna, “but my income was very less so I stopped thinking to buy it…Now I got Xerox machine which includes scanning and printing. I thank God for this gift. I will develop my income to have a good life.”
A tailor named Ajit received a sewing machine. “Through this I may increase my income,” he said, “and help my children for their study.”
These are just a couple examples out of thousands who receive income-generating gifts through Believers Church every year.
