On 18th August 2014, Believers Church Diocese of Agartala distributed free medicines to malaria-affected patients. The program was held at two different hospitals and altogether 6,000 medicine doses were distributed.
The people in these hospitals were badly affected by a malaria outbreak which caused more than 200 people to lose their lives. Hence, the church took the initiative to distribute tablets as well as the medicine for three types of injections, which is required for the treatment of malaria.
The doctors from these hospitals as well the panchayat officials appreciated the work of the church for the well-being of society. They also thanked the church for seeing their need and for helping them.
