In an endeavour to help those who do not have easy access to healthcare services, Believers Church Diocese of Delhi held medical camps in nineteen different locations from 10th to 22nd October 2016. About 7,500 needy and poor people, including children, availed the benefit of these camps.
Bishop Dr. Simon John, the Bishop of Diocese of Delhi, officially inaugurated one medical camp. Speaking on the occasion, he explained about health and hygiene and encouraged the community members to take benefit of the free medical camp.
Among those who came for the check-up, there were patients suffering from diverse diseases like chikungunya, dengue, viral fever, diarrhea, skin disease, malnutrition, anemia, and hypocalcemia. The doctors provided them free consultation and counseling. Medicines were also distributed to the patients free of cost.
The participants of the medical camps thanked the church for taking such a big initiative to conduct medical camps to help poor people like them.
