Free Medical Camp held for Slum Dwellers

On 21 September 2018 Believers Eastern Church Diocese of Mumbai conducted a free medical camp. It was held in a slum keeping in mind the scarcity of health care facilities in the area.

About 150 people were helped through the camp. They were given basic health checkups which included optical and dermatological tests too. Two cancer patients were referred to cancer hospital for further treatment free of cost.

Maya, one of the slum dwellers shared her gratitude. “I was suffering from skin rashes for many months, but due to lack of wherewithal I couldn’t go for medication. Through the medical camp I got the privilege to get proper treatment and medicines”, she said.
