On the occasion of World Food Day, 16th October 2010, a Believers Church Haryana Women’s Fellowship team took initiative to distribute free food to the needy.
Around lunchtime, the team went to bus stand in Ambala where many beggars live under a bridge. The Women’s Fellowship team distributed food to 100 poverty-stricken people there.
After this, they went to a leprosy colony where they gave away 50 food packets.
This gesture of kindness towards the poor is one example of Believers Church’s concern for those in need. Through social work and community development projects, the church is bringing hope and a means of survival to tens of thousands in South Asia.
