On 16th October 2012, Believers Church Mumbai Diocese Women’s Fellowship, Sisters of Compassion and Minor Seminary students gave away meals to the poor observing World Food Day. Early in the morning, they made 260 food packets.
The team first visited an orphanage where they performed action songs and asked for God’s grace upon the children. Soon after, they distributed 60 fresh packets of veg biriyani.
Ms. Kavita (Women’s Fellowship) taught the kids how to wash their hands after daily activities.
Later, the team went to give food packets to the hungry beggars. Local people respected the team’s effort to help the needy.
Food packets were distributed in communities all over South Asia on World Food Day. Thousands heartily received their free meal from Believers Church.
