Free BioSand Water Filters Distributed in the Diocese of Silguri

The Diocese of Silguri distributed BioSand water filters in a remote village on 15th July 2014. Altogether 20 families received water filters on that day.

The people in that village where the distribution was held were laborers and their living conditions were very poor. They used to make filters by themselves, but it was not giving good filtration of impure water. This led them often to suffer from severe waterborne diseases.

Seeing their need, the church got the opening move to distribute water filters among the villagers. The team also taught them about how to utilize these filters.

The local people expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Believers Church for addressing their needs and showing concern for them.
