Founder’s Day Celebration takes place in Leprosy Colony

On 8th March 2014, Silguri Diocese celebrated Founder’s Day, the birthday of Metropolitan Dr.K.P.Yohannan. The day was celebrated in a leprosy colony.

Around 22 families of lepers are residing in the colony. Members of Sisters of Compassion and Women Fellowship cleaned the entire colony and spend some quality time with the lepers. Three hundred food packets were distributed in the colony and the nearby railway station.

The CCN Bangala channel reported the entire program and appreciated the church for its activities among downtrodden people.

Believers Church takes every possible opportunity to help the needy and impoverished communities. This is another example of church’s concern to the needy.
