From 2nd to 4th October 2007, Believers Church Kolkata Diocese brought relief to people affected by West Bengal’s recent floods. With homes underwater and no access to drinking water, many people moved into government relief camps.
Believers Church brought food to 90 such struggling families. “We had nothing to eat,” said a woman named Sadhana. “We lost everything in the flood. My husband was sick for a week. My children were hungry and were asking for food. I didn’t know how I would feed them.” She was so grateful when she received food from the church.
Thousands of disaster-affected families have received aid from Believers Church at different times.
